Default Members award 2007

As you all know the first meet of the year is when the members vote for their favourite car of the show to win the members award. Last year it was Alex and he won the Haynes manual. This year and every year from now on the members award will be an engraved item and will be presented to the winner on the day to keep.

Sorry about the picture but this is the award for 2007 to be presented at Haynes.

Its very difficult to get a decent picture of the glassware and this picture does not do it justice. The size is 5" X 7"

It was all done by hand and it took me 110 hours to do with a very small chisel, etching acid and jewellers rouge grinding paste. The difficult bit was engraving on the curved surface using the correct angle of the chisel

or

I bought it from a shop who engraved it for me

I wish I could get a picture which did it justice but you get the idea

You need a camera with a circular polarizing filter on the lens along with soft lighting. A black background would probably be best but any dark coloured heavily out-of-focus background ought to do the trick

OR

You you can elect me as the prize winner and I'll take some pictures of it for you....
