Ken, Many Replies but only 2 votes, you will have to get back to your fingers and toes I feel.

I think Give the Cup on the Day for keeps for each Meet or whatever then the Winner can have it engraved as they wish.

Take a Presentation Picture for records and Display on Forum for those of us that cant get to part of the Country/World its at. (Need More Meets in North Wales or North West England).

Whatever is most cost effective for the club and easiest for you as you have to deal with it. That's my 2d's worth. You choose using the above criteria.
The poll is 50 50 so far so I would guess you are going to end up having to choose anyway

I would personally go for a cup with the winners name, year, place and club details. New one each year.
Engraving to be done by the club after the event and sent on.

The plaque business is fine if you have a clubhouse where it can be displayed, not really something to be presented each year, then engraved, then returned for the next presentation year on year. IMHO

In the end we would as costs and work involved would come into it but as normal we are happy to listen and perhaps learn as well Ghost

I've voted for the second option and also added some waffle to my last post.

Agree with GG on the plaque... We would need somewhere to display it which is not really workable methinks given we have no permanent place for the club to meet, etc (which in itself would be a nightmare due to everybody being located all around the world... but that's another story for another day...)

A little cup with name and car would (in my opinion) would be the better option. Hence, my vote goes for that.

At first glance the engraving would be too costly on the plaque and the cup. I have done a rough check and buying the plaque, cup and getting them both engraved would probably do away with a third of the subscriptions which we have received. I will check out a local supplier here before possibly saying no to the plaque and cup idea. We will probably revert back to the first idea which is what the poll is all about.

I will get back to you tomorrow on this.

I think there should be an engraved cup for a particular class of car. That being MG 180+ Sport Autos in XPG owned by me.

All in favour say aye. Or, should I start a poll in a separate thread?

You can start any poll you like but as per normal nobody will take any notice of it. I did notice your subliminal message but I don't delete others posts

Have a nice day
