I have fitted a few of these and some have been not so good a quality.

I am sure Simon will reveal his supplier if bribed nicely
It was this one John, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...#ht_2054wt_932 he was quite slow on delivery so be patient.

Yesterday the Freelander had a PCV filter and the above fitted and I can definitely tell a difference, it just goes so much better below 2000rpm, and bear in mind it wasnt that caked up as it had been cleaned only 2 months before.

Again, cant tell which makes the difference but there certainly is one.

Simon

Hi Simon. Just a quick question about the EGR bypass you chose.
Does the engine cover fit on properly now? Only I read somewhere that these tubes are the wrong shape! I'm in the Market for one soon and would like things to be as neat as poss.

Many thanks mate. Steve.

sorry to hijack your thread but ive recently cleaned and blanked off my EGR and noticed that the inlet manifold needs taking off for a very good internal clean, do you know if the gasket/seals will be reusable or will i need to pre order some just in case, many thanks

"The bolt fitted to the centre of the ex vacuum chamber is removable so at a later date a vacuum gauge can be fitted it this point if required."

wot does this gauge do then ?and where does it go ?

Default Inlet manifold/EGR

I removed and cleaned a very dirty inlet manifold when I did a EGR bypass(a remove and modify the OEM one). The flat o-rings can be re-used if taken out slowly. I did smear a bit of gasket maker over all surfaces when I re-fitted it. The motor is smoother and responds better. MPG has not changed so far.

Got that wrong, it would show your BOOST pressure from the turbo. It wouldn't be a vacuum.!
