Finally sorted the clutch pedal click/creak :)
My old ZT did it, my new one (current) does it too, the clutch pedal clicks/creaks when being pressed, it being noisier as the temperatures increase (doesn't seem to do it in the sub-zero temperatures), obviously the last few days have made it a tad noisy.
So, using some info from posts on here I bought a can of the synthetic lubricant (http://www.screwfix.com/p/3-in-1-oil...nt-400ml/84222 - same price from B&Q) - this one will not affect the rubber and will keep it lubricated. I went about lubricating the master cylinder "plunger" attached to the clutch pedal, as by feeling this when depressing the clutch shows the noise when coming from here. I had to remove the plastic cover nearest the pedals and the lower dash panel (that fits around the light switch) to get access to the plunger. Basically I pinched the rubber cover and inserted the tube of the 3 in 1 oil into it and sprayed quite a bit (just to clarify, not in the master cylinder itself) in there while pressing the pedal a number of times, after a min or so the noise disappeared. Granted this was only done in the last couple of days, but the noise so far hasn't come back and (although is not really lighter/heavier) the clutch operation is noticeably smoother. I know a few people have this issue so thought I would share my recent experience
