tourer tailgate removal

Hi all i want to replace the tailgate on my 02 tourer can anyone tell me if it's a straight forward task or is there anything i should know before attempting this myself thanks in advance

It is heavy and best done with someone to take the weight when you undo the bolts. It is an easy job.
Perhaps removing the rear window would help make it lighter

thanks macafee2 are the bolts holding in in place under the headlining
