I've got a couple of artificial ones that I find good on glass then clean with glass cleaner. I've also been given some of these new fangled polish application pads but haven't tried them yet.

My main chamois is a real one that came from my late Grandfathers garage. Best place I've seen recently to buy chamois leathers is 'The Range' however I have seen a thread suggesting some 'chamois' are treated sheep hide. Anybody know?

Reading all this does remind me that both cars are overdue good wash.

Yes, sheep, domestic goat and deer hide is what's mainly used now I think. The chamois goat/antelope is rarely used these days. Well, not for making chamois leathers anyway!
