Smile Question?suggestion on Machine Gun Boot release fix.

Hi Everyone,

I have just bought my first MG ZT 2L CDTI 135, Silver Saloon.

I have the machine gun firing as mentioned. Boot will go down but not lock - not very secure! Is there a rule of thumb re: turning the stoppers equally and in relation to temperature being hot or cold?

Thanks - Nigel

The boot release now works perfectly and 'pops' open every time

Just to know, this spring came from a Volvo V70 Bonnet release- It was one long spring I cut in two and they now fit perfectly onto the boot bumpers- and are even adjustable!

I hope this helps other people with the same annoying problem!!
I have the self opening boot mod on my car but it doesn't always open straight away I may try your little mod, it should work perfect to give it that little push
