Quite simple really; Roofs or Rooves?
Just intrigued really! I was taught "Rooves" so I find "Roofs" quite odd. Just a bit of fun, I'm no pedant!

Either is correct, though roofs is the more commonly used. I would write it as roofs, but pronounce it as rooves

There may be dialectic differences but I can't find any references to the 'v' version, even in my USA dictionary. They pronounce it 'rufs' anyway. My Webster's, a weighty tome, has only 'roofs' with the soft pronunciation given, so that's it for me! To be pedantic, trying to get it right is not pedantic! Try telling that to an electrician or bridge builder!

Google says Rooves as a plural for of roof is dated, but not incorrect. The Oxford English Dictionary lists “rooves” as an alternate to roofs, one of several outdated spellings used in the UK, and in New England as late as the 19th century.
