Have you had to fix the christmas lights?
wife bought an outside laser projector light two years ago. Used that Christmas, not used last year as we were away and this Christmas its not worked.
she contacted QVC but as 2 years old they "cant" help. Had it apart today and found a poor connection that then broke. While fixing that another wire broke off. With the help of a test meter I've been able to reattach else where and the light is now working. such thin wires, no wonder they snap off macafee2 |

We inherited a fibre optic Christmas tree from parents - now dead - and whilst it wasn’t what we would have bought as we like a real tree - it did look really nice in our hallway as it glowed with thousands of pin point different, changing colours.
Sadly this year it has finally died - I checked everything but the motor would not work. In previous years it needed a bit of fettling to get it running but we had to admit it had finally had its day. Sad, not only because I like to fix things (like most of us on here I suspect) but because of what it represented. |

Had to repair two sets of lights after Maya (7 month old pup) had a go at the wiring. In both cases she destroyed the connector that went into the transformer/plug. Bodged something for one and replaced the jack plug on the other.

All of our lights seem to be working well.
In this age of LED's they appear to be indestructible. Can even reposition them while they are working.------If you knocked one of the old filament types there was a fair chance the filament would break.-- These latest ones do give value for money now.--- |
