Thanks for the replies guys, well I would hope it would start our 2 litre diesels if it claims to start up to 3.5 litres, and I would expect to find it still fully charged and ready to start my car if needed after say 6 months of being untouched in my glove box, maybe I'm expecting too much but I do feel it would be handy. My battery is great but I left interior light on for couple of days. Also want to cover myself for running my gsm fbh setup for too long as it also switches on the Atc panel when coolant gets to about 40 degrees. Yes the item is pricey but nice piece of mind and hopefully a good brand that actually does what it claims.

But the one from Amazon, almost identical and £100 cheaper, works well and is a nicely made piece of kit.

"Hope" is the word Will, because it doesn't actually claim to start anything!

If you read the description, it's very vague. It mentions "a variety of equipment" requiring 5 volts and a "range of 12v equipment." Nowhere does it claim to turn over an internal combustion engine. When you come to use it and it doesn't work, you will not have a claim against the seller.

I am amazed how many people place so much faith in such vague and sparse information.

Yes your right. I know the details are sketchy. Perhaps il take a risk on the £50 model and see if that can do the job. Thanks for the sound advice and recommending a cheaper product

It isn't a risk, I have one and it works. Check out the Amazon reviews as well.

A member of the forum says it works, what's in it for him to hide the truth?

I am amazed that you feel the need to ask for proof of so many things, why can people not just be right?
