That’s the home grown ones. Now the European ones. Not many as it happens.
Citroen XM
BMW 520 (new)
Renault 16TX. (new)

I’d gladly have all the home grown ones back but only the Renault 16 from over there (the best seats by far).

Forgot one: Mazda MX5 NC 2.0 Sport. Absolutely brilliant. Saves me from abusing the elegant 75.

I suppose the 'good' thing about Alzheimer's is you can still remember those old cars decades ago..!

As for suzublu...

Absolutely Ron. I daresay the driving position had a bit to do with it but it really was superb - not unlike a Charles Eames relaxer. I'd rather not describe the back seat.

I used to drive the family cars at first when I passed my test in 1966, which were mainly Triumphs. They had a Herald 13/60 convertible for 38 years from new!

My cars have been:
Morgan 4/4 2 seater (1971 - from new)
Morgan 4/4 4 seater (1981 - from new - kept it 17 years)
Ford Fiesta for a week - my first company car!
Ford Escort 1.6L
Austin Maestro 1.6HLS
Austin Montego 2.0Si
Rover 216GSi
Rover 620i - excellent car that I did 121,000 miles in
Rover 216 cabriolet (2nd hand as no longer had company car)
Rover 216 cabriolet (new - one of the last)
Rover 75 2.0 V6 (new dorchester red, W regn)
Rover 75 2.0 CDTi connie SE tourer (bought new from Rover in 2002 at 30% discount!). This was attacked by an articulated tanker on the M1 causing £9,000 damage but the shell was fine and it was successfully repaired.
Rover 45 TD (a surprisingly fast car!)
Rover 75 CDTi contempt SE tourer bought from bank in 2006 after Rover collapsed. It had done 6,500 miles with the garage owned by one of the Phoenix Four. I still have it but it has now done 248,000 miles.

I will hopefully not buy another car!
