Greeners - here's the latest in this saga.

The parcel shelf refused point blank to part company with the car - if I tug it any harder something will break.

I did manage to raise the forward edge just enough to gain access to the metal beneath - so I may be able to fit the brackets just by holding it there with a few blocks of wood.

The only snag is the red fir tree that pokes through to the boot. It's one of those snap-off jobs. I snapped it off to raise the shelf but I won't be able to replace it because there's not enough access room. The pic on page 5 of the above pdf shows its position. The question is, will the shelf rattle with no fir tree (or substitute bolt) to hold it down in the centre?

Finally fixed the little blighter. I managed to get the shelf out with the rear seat still in place (minus headrests). I even managed to replace the big red fir tree.

I toyed with the idea of fitting the sunblind but I'm not touching that accursed shelf again - it was designed by a sadist.

All that's left to do is tidy up the excess harness .... and find the 10th trim clip that scarpered and is now hiding somewhere under the seats.
