Default Which pin is the shutter?

Can anyone tell me which of the three pins on the canon C3 remote, the shutter control pin is?

Looking in the connection hole on the side of the camera, the pins are like a pyramid, top, left, right!

Are you doing a mod on it then Pete? Tricky bit of soldering if you are.

Yes Simon, I bought a wired remote for my 20D and decided to fit jack plugs so that I could fit an extension lead, and yes the soldering was a bit tricky. Lol

Looks like a nifty bit of work there Pete. If there's one thing I hate it's soldering wires onto pesky little connectors like those.

The remote seems very similar to my Nikon one (an MC30 I think). Very useful - I wouldn't mind the wireless version though.

Funny you should say that Simon, my son in law has just bought a second-hand 20D and with it came this wireless remote which he has given to me because he couldn’t get it to work, stripped it down, repaired it and I now have the best of both worlds!
