Good morning Rod, it was the same for us, one night in a hotel in South Africa. At the time I working in Hackney and my employers refused to give me time off to get married. I asked for a meeting with the 4 directors of the company and told them that if they didn’t give me a week off to fly to Cape Town and get married, they would have my immediate resignation. They were gob smacked!

From that meeting, I was given an apology, permission to take a week off and a pay rise back dated for 12 months. One of the directors asked for proof of the marriage. She said I wasn’t the marrying type. I have to say she was the root of the trouble and was the one who had refused me the leave. I was good at my job and made them lots of money. What an old bag. I reckon she was over ruled by her colleagues. Not the easiest of employers to work for

Today here it is heavy rain and 21C is forecast, but I don’t know if it will get to 21, as it is so grey

June and July are the months of grey and low temperatures for us in Nairobi and when we are cold, it’s usually hot in the UK and Europe. The only places hot in June and July in Kenya are in the bush, the desert regions or at the coast.

No doubt it’s going to be a flamin June and Carol will be blooming, enjoy the sun

Morning Freddie, I did think about that but with my luck I decided to wait it out, I got a virus on my Computer once before with clicking on a 'outdated security certificate' site & ended up having to change all my passwords
