Default ULEZ's!

I was talking to a mate I used to work with on another forum last night & he's a owner driver now with a Class1 outfit, he's got deliveries in London today so it's going to cost him £100 + the congestion charge for his delivery today.

He said I wont be taking any more inner London deliveries on in future.

London is just the start! check out how many local authorities are implementing a ULEZ and how many the government have told them to do so. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer...470704841&z=11

What sane person would want to drive into that god forsaken hole to start with,
it is another money making scam because Khan knows deliveries have to be made to that part of the city.

Cool

Both the Bear and Banana are ok, but I’ll be able to take Redfive back up to London from 2021

According to the link in the OP, for Leeds it only applies to HGV, PSV and taxi/private hire drivers.
It will not apply to private car drivers

I heard the same a while ago, but no doubt in time it will include private cars as well..

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

According to their on-line Vehicle checker https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/che...-vehicle-35896

My 2002 2.5 V6 Rover 75 Auto will have to pay the new charge, but
My 2002 2.5 V6 ZTT 190 manual won’t, nor
My 2004 2.5 V6 ZT 180 Auto either, nor
My 2004 4.6 V8 ZT 260?

So note to self, don’t take the Rover anymore, but the identical engined and higher tuned MG V6s and big old V8 guzzler are fine

and of course everything will go up because the delivery firms won't be able to swallow all the increase, but never mind all the rest of the world will also suffer the same problems.

That sounds like it's similar to the Bradford one then.

The Bradford one is up and running now, at least it doesn't affect private cars (for the moment)

We used to visit 'town' regularly to scour various antique auctions for stock.

My 2002 2.5 then will be exempt for the new larceny extension. Even so, it will be a cold day in hell before we go again with that impostor in office.
On the other hand, DVLA are still conspicuous by their apparent inability to renew my licence.

Rev
But where will I go if I want to have a £7.50 pint of beer followed by a good stabbing?
London is also the best place in the UK to experience " city aroma", that heady scent of rotting bin bags and stale urine.

Joking aside, i agree, its a money making scam. Expect the price to sky rocket once the initial outrage has died down. £50 within the next 5 to 10 years would be my bet
