Good replies chaps!

But........do a lot of you REALLY class Montego's, Metro's and Allegro's as "Rover"?

I know they were built by the same company but I class "proper" Rovers as the old 90 and 110, the P4/P5/P6 and the SD1, and of course the 400/600/800 and the new 75

Historically I have owned the 2000 auto the 3.5 v8 auto and the SD1 auto. All Rovers.. But as someone else asked, is the "75" actually a Rover?

My bros "Rover" 623 was deff a Honda Accord in everything but name.. And, in my opinion, the "Rover" 75 CDTi is a BMW. Deff NOT a Rover. But -- has very Retro British looks, and is a lovely car nontheless.

Yes the P4 Rovers was the middle class rolls Royce . The suicide doors have just started to come back .The chrome trim down the side are the same size made of stainless steel you can see that Rover took features from P4 into the 75 ,handles chrome trim bottom door ,clock center dash etc. regards Alan
