Default Fuel pump and filter problems

Hello all, I have a late 2000 early 2001 Rover 75 Connie. Recently I had a stoppage and turned out to be the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump but was unable to get the right pump. There are 2 types of fuel pumps in these and mine is a 228 222 010 002z the older type. The car now runs but I also took out the fuel filter on the left side of the tank and it was choked with debris. Managed to clean it out somewhat but I would like to replace the filter and possibly the pump. Seems like these are no longer available. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks2

Fuel pumps here: https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/s...pumps/rover/75 (thanks to Lovel)

The early filters were intended to be life-long, no cartridges available, not impossible that internals from another car might fit, do a search, might even be something within this forum if you search.

Regards
