Well,
Due to the changes in dates, we were able to book hotel rooms in the Brentford area (anybody nearby? :lol. Now we are arriving on Thursday 25th sometime before noon, and leaving Friday 26th evening. The hotel is supposed to have parking accomodations for its guests according to their website (another difficulty to add to the trip in addition to finding bookings for the Channel cross and hotel )

If you were staying a few days you would have been most welcome to stay with me. Quite a long way from London 80 miles North, so not an option for Christmas break. Invitation always open.
Hope it all works nicely out for you.

don't think, majed will be too unhappy that the 'budget store' is closed on both days.

But at least Halford's is open on boxing day

Mick and Jay: Thanks for your PMs. All info noted
Too bad Harrods is closed, but we've been there in May 2006, just before the Beaulieu meeting back then. By the way, I still remember the valet at the parking entrance who wanted to take our car into Harrods parking: He saw a 75 in London, so he opened the Righthand side door, only to see it's the passenger side to his surprise, he turned to me and I said: Got You!!!
By the way, the most stressful part is the Channel cross: Eurotunnel is overbooked and no second chance if we miss our train as no more places
By the way, London-Paris is a 4-hour drive (not counting the Channel cross)
