Default E Cigs Under Investigation

You ave to smile because millions have switched to e-cigs, I'm guessing our gov has just realised how much duty revenue they are losing from real fags..

Yep its all about how they can figure out a way to tax them. On the one hand they demonise smokers to death (compared to drinkers who get away scot free for the most part) and then put every possible obstacle in the way for those who want to give up. They have rubbish stop smoking clinics (run in my case by someone who had never smoked!). Its all tokenism to cover up the vast amounts of tax they pull in. I don't smoke anymore by the way but do vape as it helped me stop. If I have a cold it lasts days rather than weeks, I am no longer out of breath and have lots and lots of cash I never had before.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I never believe anything Newspapers report anyway, its usually bluster based on some insignificant bit of news they found. Lazy journalism. Think I'll buy The Sun instead - no news in it but reasonably entertaining. There may indeed be long term risks and of course I am tempting fate by vaping but all I know personally is that I feel better, healthier, wealthier and don't smell like an ashtray anymore.

I was never a really heavy smoker but, it's stayed with me and I find it hard to kick it, a friend used a vape to quit and he passed it to me..so I'm trying the vape and as you say Nick, feeling a lot healthier and have no negatives to report for now..

Read the article Harry thanks, sounds like they are jumping on the band wagon nice and early

I used to be a very heavy smoker, up to 40 roll-ups a day. About 4 years ago I saw a young guy in my local using an e-cig so I asked him what they were like and he let me try it. The next day I bought myself a 'starter' kit and haven't used tobacco since. As well as feeling a lot better for it (like others have said) my sense of smell is now so acute I can tell if someone else is smoking from 100 yards away!

Default The Figure is.

They reckon that three million people have ditched smoking for vaping, that's three million not buying fags at £8 a pack everyday, the loss of revenue must be huge, no wonder they're looking at it again but all of what was stated today has already been done. It's got to be for taxation purposes.

My stepson has been vaping now for the past year and he is coughing constantly, it can't be good for his health. Fortunately I gave up smoking six year's ago after thirty odd years, no nicotine patches or anything else. Probably one of my finest achievement's and I feel so much better for it .

Same. I stopped 9 years ago after 20 years smoking....no patches, gum, whatever. Best thing I ever did. As soon as fags broke the £5 a pack barrier I said enough is enough. I'm just glad I stopped before vaping was available or I may have been tempted. I don't trust those things at all, at least we know the risks with smoking.
