Well that makes quite a few of us not on facebook then, I'm not on it either.

It has been very tempting at times, but I have always resisted the urge. My daughters also keep badgering me to join, I most probably will one day.

Many believe the culprit is from this forum?.

Thats about it all really all quite not worth worrying about but still been an entertaining read

I’m one of the main victims. Dragged into something I didn’t want to be in as it was only originally some banter between mates that someone ended up reporting and now I cannot access my Facebook business page and respond to enquiries.

Having to rely on my girlfriends Facebook in the hope people will reply to messages I send from her account.

Very frustrating and once my 7 day ban is up, I’m out of that group.

I'm other facebook user myself, it has been handy if I need to keep in touch with people that have moved away, also not everyone's on forums and sometimes talking too club members on facebook.

The amount of spares I've gained its blown me away.

It’s moderated, but only when posts are reported. You can either report to group admins, or report direct to Facebook HQ which is what has happened here. That results in bans.

I wondered where you’d disappeared to and why I got another friend request from a new account. I can honestly say I’ve never seen you say anything deserving of a ban Robson. Any nasty behaviour on Facebook Groups should be jumped on by the admin and depending on how lax things are in the group it should be dealt with immediately. Groups run on different levels of what is acceptable, Carole and I run a pet group on Facebook and no advertising is allowed and no swearing either as it’s a family orientated group. I’m admin in another two car groups which really run themselves and require very little admin

Thanks Les,

Yeah I made a new account but Facebook blocked that within a few hours.

It wasn’t even foul language that was the issue! It was basically another word for “idiot” which was said in banter to each other as we were having a laugh on and someone within the group reported everyone that said the word.

It’s quite sad really. I’ve managed to get the admins of the group to set my girlfriend as temporary admin so I can delete anything I’ve ever posted so there’s no risk of being banned again.

I left the group this morning. There's nothing in it for me, it seeme to be more focused on this forum than it's own activities.

I'm another that's never dipped his toe into the world of facebook, as Trikey said it's got the good the bad & the ugly.

I've been tempted a few times as a few sites I use have started to put information on their facebook pages only
