Default Mk1 LQW Saloon - V6 160+

Well I thought id show some pictures of my ''Betty'' also, my second MG ZT in LQW and same spec virtually, this firstly was when i got the car and as you can see VERY unloved paint work wise. The interior was a mess and needed a good service, but the mechanicals where sound enough a buy for 500 quid!

That was back in April, so spent a few quid to MOT her, and got busy with the t-cut and Auto Glym to produce this four days ago.

Car has turned out very well, then the unfortunate recent damage, but its a good excuse to get a few other things touched up and then a professional detail to balance the old against the new paint.

Work in progress, but shes all mine!

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Yes sadly the damage has annoyed me greatly, but im going to use this situation to get some extra paint touches sorted whilst the cars in getting painted.

Now to find a local trustworth company.

Finally started getting some things done to the ZT after clearing a few debts first.

Been trying to upgrade a lot of mechanicals, car has 117k miles on it, so its been essential maintenance on various bit, but mostly the car is rocking along nicely.

Got a 325 mm front brake set-up (190/V8) coming now having ordered some callipers on ebay to upgrade from my front 282mm ones, so hoping to get the sorted sometime before winter. (Y)

Mean time, the car just came back from SQ Design (thanks to Chris and the gang for a fantastic job and colour match), having been repaired after being damaged in work and had mangled a sill also quite badly!

Thankfully I had the Xpower kit for the ZT sitting waiting to get painted, so they did the whole lot at once. (Y) Got a laguna splitter to go on also, as they really suit the ZT, so hoping to do that later in the week also.

Now ive just gotta set myself some springs or coilovers to lower the car a tad (which you just cant get for ZT's!) and I will be happy with the exterior.

Not bad for an auld Rover 75.

Hopefully it will be a lot better in my next update.

Plans for a nice boot lights upgrade which will hopefully inspire a few people.

Fantastic looking car Mac, can I ask where you got the side skirts and rear spats from? Could you also tell me how much it cost to have them sprayed?

Im thinking about getting the kit for mine.

Free mate. LOL!

I got the kit from Rimmer Bros, and the paint was payed for by work when they damaged my car.

They just told me, whatever it costs. So got the rear bumper, boot, skirts etc all done, lol.
