Default 75 CDT Disconnecting the battery-advice please

Sorry for what might be a numpty question , but....

I have acquired a remote key fob for the Webasto parking heater on my 75 Diesel and it needs to be synchronised with the car which means disconnecting the battery first.

I have my radio code and just wondered if I need to be aware of any programmes that might alter during the disconnection, or anything I should be mindful of. I'm a little nervy of messing the car up.

She has an XPower tune and a Synergy 2 box fitted, so should the Synergy box be switched off before the disconnection?

Many thanks

Posts can't be deleted, only changed. So, if you double-post, just edit the second one by deleting the existing words and typing 'Ignore - double post' or similar.
