Default The New British Coins

I have now seen the new range of coins released by the Royal Mint,
and I must say they are NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- IMHO.

But I think the Government must have designed them
as they Perfectly reflect our Current Government
You never get the full picture in one go!

They don't look real. If one of them turned up in the shop I'd reject it as a fake....

Not a particularly good design for a coin in my opinion. Okay for a showpiece collection yes but for general circulation then definitely not.

See here....

Does the fragmentation of the design reflect the fractional value of the coins?

If they're introduced then we'll all get used to them
What concerns me is that they look very much like Euro coins as do the new Bank of England notes and indeed the new Bank of Scotland notes.
So far RBS and Clydesdale have not introduced any new designs but whats the betting that when they do they also will have that EURO look.
I think its all a ploy to get us used to money that looks like Euros so that when the big change comes it will not be such a shock.

Absolutely dreadful.

Talk about "designed down to a price".

What a ridiculously gimmicky idea.

It won't be long before the Sovereign's head is removed from the obverse either in my opinion.

Not sure, but more likely the fragmentation of our country and/or the destruction of it's values

England and Scotland are represented on New Coins but not Wales.
There is talk at the Welsh assembly of Introducing our own Coinage and Notes soon.
