More than she is worth! I paid £3500 in August from Hopton. Have only spent £15 on her since (tracking) and a few quid on luxury mats and car washes. Only reason I paid that much was, if I'm honest, for the rare premium bumper/grille that came with the car as standard, I do just love the look of it.
I guess a bonus was it had only 50k miles on it, and as we have seen time and time again, for an oil burner that is nothing. Price was also inflated by the fact it was from a main dealer, and also due to the fact a few people have said Hopton are overpriced... but I wasn't going to get a non-V8 model with the premium bumper in a hurry from anywhere else in all likelyhood lol. Heart ruled over mind I guess. The car itself is a bit of a mismatch, it's a Classic, with things that shouldn't be in it, alas the premium bumper etc, but we were talking about this at the meet yesterday, and came to the idea that it could have been finished after the administrators took over so they could have just been finishing it with whatever they had left, and it's likely the original buyer wouldn't have been offered any "factory" options etc (it was first registered 01/07/05). All in all though, I'm pleased, and it's only money at the end of the day |
