Two Events for 2011
now confirmed that the durham MG Club Chairman has agreed to the rover 75 and mg zt club members can attend beamish.
1. Durham MG Club meeting at Beamish Open Air museum. However, for it to be viable, we will need around 25 members the link for entry is at: http://www.dur.ac.uk/ashley.holmes/durhammgoc/ 2. There will also be the Father's Day rally at Harewood House. A number of the members attended last year, and seemed to enjoy it, but if this is to happen again, members will need to confirm there attendance early on in the new year, and definately before the day of the event. I planned it last year for the club, and was still getting requests up until a day before asking if they could attend. Regards Stuart Last edited by Fusilier; 13th April 2011 at 22:48.. |

when will the Durham /Beamish be date wise i think the last one was nr one of my nieces birthdays or some such as i was in Durham when it was on but not able to attend hopefully i can sort something out for the next one , i was surprised no one from our lot apart from your self showed much interest in Beamish . i would of gone but for family reasons as it a good place . not been in about 18 years . (not since i left Durham) but the Father's Day rally at Harewood House was well attended .... so for now a maybe for both depending on whether we are free on those dates ...

I still think that Beamish would make a good venue for a NATIONAL MEET

yes you are right just as long as they give some notice so we can sort it and not be on the same date as a prior event like the last one

Great to hear from you,& good to know of these possible events for next year, the Beamish one with your Durham MG Club,& knowing that Beamish,is a great venue in itself, should make for a wonderful event. We know the Harewood House Meet is a good one as we attended the last Fathers Day Meet you helped to organise in June,& would certainly look forward to both of these coming up. As you may already know, there have been a few changes within the club, whereby events & meets have been regionalised, with Regional Secretaries,to assist with, help co-ordinate with other members, with meets & other events that may be of interest. As such,I was asked to take on the role of RS for Cumbria,Northumbria & Durham,& as I am still feeling my way in this new & I feel quite exciting area of the club, and therefore, would feel very obliged for any assistance & help you may be able to offer,in return may I also offer my assistance/help in any way I can,& look forward to possibly working alongside you,& other members to help create some memorable events/meets for our region. Very Best Regards. John.
