Club competitions

It is fair to say that only a few members appear interested in entering the type of club competitions currently being run. Zebs competition raised enough money for us to buy two MGR flags to use at meets and meetings and without Zebs help those costs would have come out of club funds. Now that Zebs competition has ended we will be leaving it for a couple of weeks and then introduce the next one which will be run by TaiChiMan and will run for one month and then a two week break. This will be followed by a competition run by Gryphon

We thank both TaiChiMan and Gryphon for wanting to help the club in this way and it will help us to pay for other things for meets like signage and better organisation which will become apparent at the next meet. Without these things to help us our continued expansion would not be in doubt but these things do help us to bring more things on line quicker and easier.

For those that want to help in raising club funds then please enter the next when it starts. For those who are not interested thats fine and there is no pressure to join in as there is no pressure from the club to subscribe either.

For those that are interested in club funds I can say that the financial side of the club is now secure and considering we started with £0.00 nearly seven months ago we are now in a healthy position.

For those members who don't enter club competitions we'd love to hear why. Whether it is cost, type of competition, or just not interested, it all helps us develop services for members. We'd love to hear your views at [email protected]
