Pretty good for the weather and speed - so about 620 for full (65 litre tank). I reckon someone will get over 750 in the summer months!

I average 687 Per Tankful to refill light comes on. (Worst ever 600)
The most miles I have ever had is 736. (Recorded in Company Vehicle Mileage and Fuel returns.)
Also having never run it below 60 Litres used I don't know exact figure for tank full.
Bare in mind when doing 40,000 miles PA I do a lot of steady driving on Motorways and A Roads and not in the daytime either.
I don't generally drive light footed some would say and lie about.

Always do more miles Per gallon in the Summer Months I notice from returns.

Congratulations JDC you are the new record holder!

736 out of 60 litres would translate into 797.33 miles out of full tank!

I must say I'm not completely surprised given your driving habits, and the speed - I use the word loosely of course - that you stick to.

The phrase 'Beat That' now spring to mind....

By the way, what do you reckon the difference is, percentage wise, between your summer and winter mpg?

Not strictly part of the game bit I managed to return a very healthy 355 miles from 33 litres from a recent outing to Southampton and back, mostly motorway and dual carriageway. It was done using the brim to brim method and I used a little dash of millers before setting off.

That works out as a tidy 48.9 MPG and all from a CDT auto with 117K on the clock.

I must admit when I use the car for short runs then it takes a fair hit on the economy as the engine has barely got to a decent temperature.

Now I must get that large parking swipe sorted to the front nearside where some lovely person scrapped into me and decided not to leave a note, the swine! GRRRRR

Noting that K£150N's decent fuel figures were from an auto, I suddenly realised that the current leader - JohnDotcom - with 797 miles from a tank - is driving an auto too!

This can't be right - either JDC has sold his soul to someone with horns and a pitchfork - or there must be a manual driver out there ready to top those figures.

Also JDC - was that economy acheived with a dodgy thermostat as well....?

My figures are when Thermostat was/is working.
Dropped average of 3.5MPG when faulty.
Cruise is generally used on Motorways and A55/M56 doing the daily run to work (65.8 miles each way) @ 65MPH/1800 rpm average.

People seem to get wildly different mileages, I have, when driving on Continent at over 100MPH dropped into high 30's low 40's MPG
I also add Millers to all Shell fuel used, have correct tyre Pressures at all times, (Vredestein Sportrac3), car fully serviced, Mobil 1 engine Oil, no passengers generally, climate control on.
Might just be lucky with remap etc as last Diesel 75 wasn't as good.

Last summer I got 54.7 once on brim test 1000mls. Equates to 782. CDT 135. Manual saloon with 2 up. I always do brim test, don't let tank get much below half. Since then I have done some mods, Synergy 2, new Bosch MAF, EGR bypass, Breather, new tyres so it will be interesting this summer. Don't know what the thermostat condition is as yet.

Since I started this thread, I thought I'd post my first figures for a my first full tank since doing all the mods.

683 + 21 left on Range = 704 miles, from 75% motorway & A-road driving.

So just short of savvy's 706, and JohnDotCom ridiculous 797 miles - out of an AUTO!

HOWEVER - my thermostat is dodgy, but I've just ordered one from Jules so there's hope for me yet....

I've got a synergy 2 fitted and the message centre read 60.1mpg,
but the real mpg was 49.2 - so quite a difference.

It also explains - as many predicted - the unbelievable figures of 74.2mpg that I got on my first long motorway run after the synergy was fitted last month.

Cheers
Leander
