Default 75 tourer for sale ,needs repair

A customer of mine has a 75 tourer, that they want out of the way. It is. a 1.8 n/asp with a little over 51000 miles, its black and manual, was being used as a funeral directors car, so the rear windows are fully blackd out.Its Mot expires in May, car looks to be in good condition, headlights need cleaning though, as very oxidised. Its been standing for a while, and they stopped using it,as engine has a misfire, I havent heard the car running, but they were on about just scrapping it. I said please dont go there just yet, told them about the club, and said let me put the word out on the forum, see if anyone’s interested. The miles are only approximate, and may be a bit more, just going off the last MOt, but wont be that much more. The asking price is offers around the £400 mark, as a starting figure. Car is located in Northumberland. No connection to me ,other than trying to safe it from the breakers, I stand to gain nothing from any potential sale. Any interested parties, please contact me by pm or, text/phone, those of you that have my number.

EDIT, as most think its overpriced, someone make an offer around the 200 mark and I will put it to the owner and see if he accepts it. NO LONGER AVAILABLE. SCRAPPED.

400 quid is optimistic for a car with an unknown engine problem.

Agreed. I think they'll need to drop the price by about £200 before they'll generate any interest.

And before anyone starts going on about undervaluing our cars, I'm afraid it's purely down to the market and desirability.

As above Steve, Im just acting as a go between. The 400 price is a starting figure. He told me make an offer on it, I told him ot was no good to me as nowhere to keep it, and asked him for a starting figure, thats what he said. I told him I would put it on here and see what transpired.

Could just be something simple like plugs need gapped or coil pack.
