Default Painted Dash (Trophy Blue)

Ever since I saw the green dash I knew it was something I wanted to try at some point...

My existing dash was in good condition (was - I scratched it up really badly a few days ago by accident), but it was a bit dull...

I'm currently breaking a Rover 75 - which happened to have a "real wood" walnut dash (which is better quality...)

So I removed that, and had it painted in trophy blue. I had it painted for me, as I already had someone spraying up a bumper so it was very cheap to get it done. Plus, I suck at painting!

I then put all the vents etc out of the Rover into the dash - as they seemed to look better / be higher quality.

And then fitted...

That looks a very good paint job and suits the ZT, the 75 has to be real wood though

looks FAB; properly fits in like the painted parts on an original mini dash. Looks really good. Did you have to do any special prep on the plastic to get the paint to stick and not react in any weird way!

This is why I didn't do much more - I was worried it would go ott.

Quick comparison between a "real wood" metal dash and the "plastic" ones.

Look at the gaps!

I have no idea

I got a guy at a bodyshop to do it. He did admit he'd never done anything like it before, and there are a few cuts / splotches on the paint, but it looks good overall.
