Default Mo is still lurching.

Hi everyone. This has been an ongoing problem since 2019.
Trikey suggested removing the cam position sensor, cleaning it and putting it back.
This worked ok for a few miles but then the usual problem re-occurred.
I had already bought a new one from DMGRS, so I put that in and again it worked ok for a few miles then the problem came back.
So, I went online and looked up "why does my car rev itself?" and the results pointed to a problem with the idle air flow. I think this is what replaced the carburetor
Three things might be causing it.
It is either a hole or split in the rubber air hose.
The regulator valve sticking.
Or the sensor is on its way out.
Because it's an intermittent fault, my guess is a sticking valve.
Am I right in thinking the valve is beyond the sensor inside the engine housing?
If it is I will need someone to come round with an idea of what they are doing, and a torque wrench capable of 0 to 10nm.

Advice needed please
Thank you.
