Mo is still lurching.
Hi everyone. This has been an ongoing problem since 2019.
Trikey suggested removing the cam position sensor, cleaning it and putting it back. This worked ok for a few miles but then the usual problem re-occurred. I had already bought a new one from DMGRS, so I put that in and again it worked ok for a few miles then the problem came back. So, I went online and looked up "why does my car rev itself?" and the results pointed to a problem with the idle air flow. I think this is what replaced the carburetor Three things might be causing it. It is either a hole or split in the rubber air hose. The regulator valve sticking. Or the sensor is on its way out. Because it's an intermittent fault, my guess is a sticking valve. Am I right in thinking the valve is beyond the sensor inside the engine housing? If it is I will need someone to come round with an idea of what they are doing, and a torque wrench capable of 0 to 10nm. Advice needed please Thank you.
