Seems an awful lot of work for what is little more than a CD player and a TomTom.

Despite that I would love to fit one to my ZTT

Davids link is for the hiline satnav, whereas the OP is referring to the lowline Symphony from what I read. However I guess David posted the link because the amount of work is similar.

So first you need to check if the satnav unit you have is a loline or hiline. They look the same but aren't (I remember someone spending two hours trying to figure out why no video data would come out of a satnav once, when they had the lowline one plugged in).

Next, do you have the hiline message centre instrument pack? You must for lowline to work. If you do have it, do you have trafficmaster? If so, you have to fit a switch to change between the two.

The biggest job is the wiring. Without a loom it's a pain in the proverbial to wire it all up.

You will also need a new boot RH carpet with the satnav cutout, and a mounting bracket for the nav unit and gps. A GPS antenna and loudspeaker will be needed too.

Is it worth it? I reckon so. Tom Tom is great if you realised you needed it when you left home, and plugeed it in / mounted it. With this, it's there all the time, with little worry about someone nicking it.
