Can't access my e mails after an update
Since my laptop received it's windows updates on the 21st june I have been unable to access my e mails. So I reset it to restore to before this time and all was okay. However it's updated again and i'm back to the same problem in that it appears to have upset my settings somewhere in regard to my password and username boxes. In the username box an X appears after the word and in the password box a symbol of an 'eye' appears at the end! When i try to open my e mails therefore the page won't open. I've been on holiday for over a week and now can't set the system restore back before the original update. It's probably something simple but i can't find it. Luckily i can open them on my old desktop computer without these symbols appearing. I use talk talk as my internet provider if anyone has come across this before!
Thanks Peter |

Sounds like you've got Internet Explorer 10 in one of them updates. The little eye is used to unveil the password behind the dots/stars, if you click it it will show up. Although, I'm not sure why that should cause login issues.
Have you considered trying an alternative browser, such as Firefox, Opera or Chrome? This might fix your problem. |

Thanks for the advice Adam. The hidden letters do show up as you describe so i'll have a closer look at the browser.

If you happen to be with BT Internet, then you probably need to go on to the webmail and log on, then all will be fine. This happened to mine, and was miraculously solved once i did that.

I'm with talk talk (Tiscali) I'm hoping it might sort it'self out with another update at some point. In the meantime I'll have to use my other computer to view my e mails!

Well it turns out that talk talk know about this problem with IE10 affecting their e mail systems and they are doing their best to fix it, according to their notice dated from May this year! It's now July and it's not the first time I've had problems with them so i think it's time to find a new provider.
Thanks for the advice everyone |
