Weymouth Weekender May 18th/19th 2013
Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way.
Hi all Having turned purple today it seems a suitable time to announce the official launch of the Weymouth Weekender 2013 This will take place on the weekend of 18th/19th May The venue will be the Nothe Fort Barrack Street Weymouth DT4 8UF http://www.nothefort.org.uk/ you may recognise the fort from the Olympic sailing events TV coverage ....There is every facility that we need & we will have our own parking area within the fort on the parade ground with room for approx 30 cars.. we will get discounted entry of £4.50 per adult and £1 for under 16s..There is no charge for car parking in the fort..If there is enough interest I will arrange a late afternoon/early evening boat trip on Sat 18th to be followed by a group meal at the Lodmoor (same as last year) where we have the option of a private room.. The new venue is only a few minutes walk from Weymouth town centre.. links to B&Bs here http://www.weymouthbedandbreakfasts.co.uk/ and camping/caravaning here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/to...eymouth&county= Of course you can attend on the Sunday only if you prefer.. I will add more details as time goes on but please let me know if you would like to attend ASAP so I can start the list,As ever no committment needed & there is no need to worry about payment etc till much nearer the event when I will contact you to confirm your attendance.. For the photographers among you this venue will give you a rare chance to photograph the cars from above...The boat trip is penciled in for 5pm on Saturday evening, cost of hire is £150 per hour so if we fill the boat (35) cost will be £5 each, if we end up with more than 35 wanting the boat trip there is a second boat available.. Cheers for now Ian Possible attendees......................Boat trip Frank Incensed.............................x2 Flying Banana...............................x1 Redfive........................................x2 Mango Man..Sunday Only Ratty...........................................x2 Mr Shed........................................x4 brianw..........................................x2 Stux99.........................................x2 Adrenalin Rush...............................x2 Spyder...................Sunday Only Peterzs..........................................x 2 Eric60.....................Sunday Only Leopard680...................................x1 Shiner...........................................x 4 Trophy Yellow Mark..Sunday Only

Blimey! If we make it down for that one it'll bring back memories! In 1974, when it was still derelict, a chum and I climbed the gate and did a bit of exploration. I remember going down a long, pitch black tunnel and our torch going out. I just prayed we wouldn't suddenly drop down an unguarded hole or flight of steps. Robert

Hello Ian,
sounds good to me! Will endeavour to do the whole weekend thing, which the Missus will love! I will confirm which it will be closer the time, but it will definitely be one or the other - had a fantastic time last time!
