Anything with an ICE will be banned shortly so I wouldn't worry too much about changing to an old petrol car.

have to disagree about mgf head gasket being a doddle with good access, changed mine a few weeks ago anything but good access, I can understand why garages are inclined to remove engine to carry out this job

I was referring to the 75 being a doddle ! I fully know that the MGF is a pig
