There are some truly hideous "heritage" colours about now. That "John Major" / battleship grey as per the Ford above. Mini do a similar awful grey colour. Insipid beige and yellow amongst others seem to be the fashion. How I hated white cars, now I have to have my retinas blasted by this dirge.
Brian your Marinas must now be the height of fashion - colour wise at least. |

There used to be a fiat 500 abarth near to where I live, that was to my mind a perfect primer grey, with a satin top coat. The worst is in a car park now where I park. Golf gte (hybrid). Gloss primer grey with a pearl effect . It only shows the pearl on the sunniest of days.
I guess it is one of those things that the phrase, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder was meant for. sent from here

One the right car, and with the right trim colour, grey can work. I have always liked MGAs in Dove Grey with red leather trim. I might own one some day !
I think 1960s heritage colours are OK - BMC did some reasonable colours then such as Damask Red, Trafalgar blue, Almond Green. It all started to go wrong in the 1970s when we have colours such as Citron Yellow and Russet Brown appearing on MGBs !. Pete |

Being the proud owner of a Primertallic ZTT, I can appreciate the subtle beauty of the grey hue
Anyway, I love this
