1st Owner
Just had an email, via a friend, from the 1st owner of "The Flying Banana". He has been trying to track the car down. Regrets selling it in the first place.
So now I'm going to see if I can find out more info, like is it the car that is shown on the Monogram page that Reebs has put together. I know what garage originally sold "Banana", now a Land Rover Dealership. Tried to get info from them about the car but met a brick wall with them.

Good news Bob, let's hope you find out more, although I don't think they can be the same car as yours has Headlamp Wash

Previous owner had bought a MG ZT in Trophy Blue from Marshalls in Bedford and 3 months later returned to the garage to buy a replacement bulb when he saw a fantastic Yellow ZT+ For Sale. Brand new and £23,000. But the car had paint issues over the 4 wheel arches.
But a deal was struck and he bought the car for £17,000, but still kept the Trophy Blue ZT. The Sunspot Yellow car then was returned to Longbridge a total of 4 times till they got the paint right. He then later sold the Trophy Blue ZT. He was obsessed with the Sunspot Yellow car spending every available minute polishing her. Because she turned so many heads the previous owner started hiring her out as a wedding car. But like me hated parking in busy car parks in fear of her being damaged. 17000 miles later and he started to become bored with the car and traded her in, at a Chrysler garage in Luton, for another Trophy Blue ZT 190. He then spent a fortune on this car getting it how he wanted it. But has always regretted selling The Yellow one. And like a lot of others he now wants to buy her back. He'll just have to get into the queue. Hopefully he will be able to see "The Flying Banana" when she appears at Silverstone for MG 90. In all the previous owner has owned 3 ZT's, 1 ZS and 3 TF's. So it looks like it's not the ZT in Reebs Monogram line up after all. I wonder where the other 3 ZT's are? Along with the Rover 75 produced in Sunspot Yellow. The ZTT that was produced is still alive and well, and living somewhere in Shopshire. Car was seen last year in a garage having work done prior to an MOT. I'll just keep searching for the others.

He's had a fair few cars. He might get bored of the car again if he does get it again and sell it quite quickly. I hope he does get it and keeps it for good.

Met Michael at Sparkford motor museum and he was pleased as punch to see his old Yellow car. He had part exchanged the "Banana" for a Jeep Wrangler, and not another ZT as I had thought. But as he drove home in the Jeep he regretted selling his beloved Yellow car. "Banana" still 'sports' the number plates supplied by the Chrysler/Jeep garage in Luton, "Canonsgate". Another garage that is long gone.
Picture of Michael, Banana and I at Sparkford today.
