Our wonderful SNP government ordered councils to freeze[no pun intende] council tax.

Do they have to freeze it, or like down here would they possibly penalize them if they raised it?

We have had 3 or 4 inches of snow ..... I've taken tomorrow off.

My own city were told to make 50 million of savings instead of putting council tax up.

Be interesting to see if they have managed it.

Re onshore winds and salt. With a prevailing wind from the South West, the North and East coasts get less salt deposited innit.

Got about 2 inches of snow here this morning, melted down to about an inch and a half now... No wind though, temp one degree above freezing, so not a bad day really.

Same here in Clacton Derek,
No more snow and the main roads are clear but boy it's cold this morning so watch out for ice especially on the pavements !
