Default Well I've owned her a year, which means MOT day...

Well I have to say I'm a bit nervous, normally the month before the MOT I would spend a day going over the car top to bottom and making sure everything is tickety-boo, get the car tested 3 weeks early and enjoy 12 and half months MOT.

This year it ran out on 16th, and on the 13th I tried to book it in and the first slot I could get was for this morning. I had every intention of giving the car a once over this weekend, but have been knocked out by some virus so that didn't happen.

I'm pleased to report - it PASSED!!

And not a single advisory either

I always use the Council MOT centres as they are very consistent and straight up.

Oh and emissions - well, see for yourself!

Did I mention I'm pleased?

Here's to a years motoring

I normally change my cars every few months (I've had 34 in 11 years), but I've had her a year now, and no plans to change. I really am fond of this one!

Just to add, I love the new MOT viewing bay at Bedford Borough Council depot, it has a telly screen showing the car as well as a big viewing window.

Your lambda must be in good nick... my readings were, 0.000% CO, 0 PPM HC, and 1.030 Lambda.
Mine is on the the max allowed limit, so probably get a new one in for next year or I will try using the cleaner the mot recommended today, which name I have forgotten already, short term memory loss , well done on the pass, as someone said to me today, they do not understand how our Company Mg Rover closed, they built really good cars. Mine did look the best on the carpark today.

i am lucky, my tame and trained MOT guy let me in under the ramp to look at any upcoming issues (and even lends me a spanner if something needs (ahem) tightening to pass???

Well done!
It's the one thing that I get stressed about is the MOT.

Mine was replaced with a NTK (NGK) one about 9 months ago. I did run a bottle of Cataclean through about 6 months ago (its really good stuff!), it has new plugs, coil packs and HT leads, injectors all well within spec etc. It does get a good blast out every so often do which I maintain does a good job of keeping things spot on.

So it did have the best possible chance!

Thanks for the positive comments everyone.
