Default Thank you and farewell.

With some reflection I have decided to "retire" - as I no longer have a 75 and don't see any prospects for owning one any time soon due to other commitments, and following some distasteful public and private feedback, it is time to move on.

I wish I could feel I had been able to contribute something to the club, but the reality is that I gained far more from it than I was able to put in. Despite never having met any of you, some of you members have been incredibly generous with your time and resources, helping a novice keep going. Thank you seems scant recognition.

Things have been difficult of late, and it was with regret I had to sell my last beautiful 75. I had always wanted one, and I ended up having 3, so that cant be bad!

I'm sorry the "competitions" have proved to be divisive. In fairness I feel bound to point out that they were only ever meant to be for amusement, no financial contributions were expected or sought, and if I got confused and sent the wrong "prizes" out to the wrong people, that is old age and not malice.

There will be some who will wish to respond negatively to this thread and if so feel free - it will your time you are wasting, not mine, as I will not be here to see it. It would be nice to think I might have another 75 at some point, but the cost of discourtesy that would come with it hardly seems worth the bother.

I wish you all well and continued enjoyment of your cars and thank you again.

I guess I've missed something along the way, but I looked at your competitions with good humour and thank you for your time, generosity and wit.

I really can't believe this post David! How on earth anyone can have been discourteous to someone with your sense of humour and fun I'll never understand. A sad day my friend, a sad day.

All the best for the future whatever you decide to do and whatever car you drive,

Chad.

This is a crazy post, I must have missed something, and anyone who thinks of your competition as more than just a chuckle, needs to leave themselves!

Your smokestone shoes would take some filling!

David, please bear in mind all of the people that do not make distasteful public and private feedback.
They would out number the ones that do, hundreds to one.

There is a good bunch on here and you are one of them.

Stick around, we need your posts to add a smile to the day, when we are dealing with the sort of people that you mention, at work, or, in our day to day lives.

Hi David, I am sorry I missed the competition posts, I was pre-occupied elsewhere. I think it is poor show to run another member down who is doing his best to get back on his feet again. Who ever the culprit is, I hope they will be forthcoming with an apology. I hope you will stay, as we need more guys like you in the club.

75s are in your blood. You'll not get away from here that easily! There are quite a few members who remain as members even though they have no 75 or ZT.
