Here's a map of how to get to Locomotion from the A1, not what I wanted I would have preferred it to appear in this post as opposed to being an attachment but I just dont know how to do it

I've been down to Locomotion today to check it all out & here's the options,
If we can all arrive before 10.00 we can drive straight past the events car park & down onto the concrete apron infront of the collection building which would be superb for photomographs

If it's likely to be after 10.00 I can arrange a half hour window in which the museum will provide staff to direct us & keep the public out of the way while we park up

If people will be arriving in drips & drabs then we will have to use the large events car park off to the side of the building which wouldn't be a problem just not as good for photoshoots etc.

The other thing with the first 2 options is that as the museum will be open to the general public during the course of the day so we would need to adopt a similar strategy for leaving in other words if you want to leave sharp you're stuck there until the prearranged leaving slot.

The museum are very accommodating in that if we didn't want the big carpark then there is a grassed area which we could reserve or there is also a small carpark directly along side the building we could use.

Could people please let me know their views/preferences no later than say a week before the event & I can arrange it with the museum.

Also just along the road in Dabble Duck Ind Est Bowmans of Shildon have a small vintage lorry museum which is worth a visit.

Regards Col

Hi Col we could all meet up at some place near hand and all go in together save a lot of messing about.

Hi Colin,

Good to see that you have taken up the challenge to set something up. Unfortunately you seem to have chosen a weekend when I have got at least four things which I should / could be doing. I'll have to see how things pan out but if I can I'll try to get along. Sorry I can't promise to make it at the moment, it just depends on how a few other things go.

regards

Paul

Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way. Thanks for your co-operation in this

Right this idea seems to be gathering a bit of interest so I have confirmed a date with Locomotion at Shildon, I've gone for Sunday 27th of September. I'm off down there this sunday for a reccie & I'll do some proper directions incase any of the Midlands lot fancy coming
Here's a link to their website http://www.locomotion.uk.com/
(dont know how to do the fancy stuff)

So if anyone fancies doing the Locomotion with me just add your name to the list
