Default seat slide link tube spring

With apologies for what may seem like a daft enquiry, but I found a large, plastic enclosed spring on the floor of my car some time ago. Whilst browsing the internet I found something that looks very similar - a seat slide link tube spring (or some combination those words) could any of you clever people tell me where it should go or what it does? I would be most appreciative

Sounds like the seat belt height adjuster spring, attached to the seat underside frame.
