Default ZT-T 190: Replaceing the front discs and pads

Hi All,

I've got brake judder on the tourer.
Local MG garage has had a look, suspects rust on the inside face is causing it, he recommends replacement.

I'm looking for advice on which discs and pads to use, there seems to be a price range of £38 to £120 for new discs.

Any thoughts on which brand of discs to use, and whether fitting drilled and/or grooved discs make much of a difference?

Also thoughts on pads?

Phil

Have a look for prices at Autodoc. Purchased from them recently and altho you might have to wait a week for delivery they are very competitive with prices and lots of choice.

I'm sure more knowledgeable ppl than i can advise on brands

I tend to go to EBC for all cars. They are not the cheapest, (nor the most expensive), but I've always found them to be very high quality. They are mostly produced in the UK.
Although they have more "high performance" pads such as Green stuff, Yellow stuff etc, for my 75 I went for standard "Ultimax" pads and standard discs.
