I would guess that you are responsible.

Nowadays, a modern car, comes with a gazillions of gimmicks. Even a self-driving elements with cameras on your eyes, etc.

But! With all these gimmicks: Use with your own risk.

So I guess when the car hit something, you are to blame.

You are, because it is the driver's responsibility to remain in control of his vehicle at all times.

The Nissan Qashqai has several cameras and sensors, but you still need to interact with the car all the way through the parking process.

Its like playing a driving game on your PC, you have your face planted in front of the large media screen, you end up performing more actions than you would normally parking the old fashion way.

Bollards fault. It should have moved out of the way...

I thought we already had self parking cars, the way some of them have been thrown in bays at supermarkets.

It looks like some people in the highlands already have self-seeing cars.

When I see a 'self servicing or self cleaning' car i'll get excited but self parking !! really?
I think it's going to be an absolute mare come insurance claim time.... It wasn't my fault ... the car did it all by itself !! blah blah blah.
