Ok you gurus, Ive now coded two keys successfully to the cars EWS on both my cars ,runs and opens the lock physically.
As said no remote functions as yet and I believe I need somthing to talk to the BCU. A T4) Was thinking, as the EWS has had 2 or 3 working keys entered in the factory (obviously some have been lost) what would happed if I coded a blank chip to one of the lost active keys instead of picking one of the keys further down the register ? If it was a functioning key (but lost) would the BCU have the data stored for it to recognize it ? ? |

Syncing fobs is no problem, but coding these **** transponders I have also EWS lite, can read out the EWS / keys. Doing this, I select read key 0 for example, then write it to an new transponder. Verify says KEY MATCH, but EWS refuses (engine blocked) So my questions are: a) which steps are necessary? (unlock? cgf tag?) b) Shall I use a new (unused) position instead of a lost one? Key04 vs key00 for example) c) What ID for the PCF7930/35 are you using? Tried ID44, but also red about ID33/ID73 for our cars |

Brian is right,( he was the one that gave me the info) you need to use an unused key position.
Usually position 0 and 1 are the two keys done in the the factory and labeled used so just leave them and put the new key to 3 |
