broke down
Going home tonight my 75 decided to cut out now sitting waiting for recovery truck great

Hope you got back home without too much hassle Les.
Have you got more than a quarter of a tank of fuel onboard? If not then could be your in tank fuel pump has failed. If so put a couple of cans of diesel in and then keep it above a quarter full until you change the ITP. |

It's over quarter tank suspecting under bonnet pump took some getting home as rac said I wasn't covered which I am just as well I'm covered by my bank blasted rac this morning for leaving me stranded just waiting a call back see what they say got a lad coming over with a new under bonnet pump and prey if not replace in tank pump here's hoping

Unless the new ubp is broke it wasn't that but definitely low fuel pressure

If the in tank pump fails, this will cause the ubp to fail prematurely, so just changing 1 is pointless.
An easy check, open the fuel flap & cap, switch the ignition on and listen by the filler cap, no noise is no pump. |

the car is not running at the moment the ubp is ok that checked out today we had the itp out today you can hear it working but when fuel pipe removed there was no fuel getting pumped out but there was fuel on the return pipe
