Default Pin layout for parking sensor unit

Hi guys,

I vaguely remember to have seen a topic in which somebody mentioned what the pin layout is for the black connector for the parking sensor unit. But for the life of me, I can't seem to find it.

The parking sensor unit has a black connector and a white one. The white on is for the sensors, and the black one is for the power + sounder.
I would like to know which pins are for the power and which pins are for the sounder.

I'm gonna use this kit install it in the front bumper, and I need to create my own loom.

Any chance you could explain it a bit more? Not sure what LGR means, and what "Per R***" means.

LGR = Light Green with Red line wiring
Gn = Green
RLG = Red with Light Green line

Per R***, I am quoting from the Proprietary document which we all rave about but are not supposed to mention here.

Great thanks.

With "to IPK", you mean the sounder? This unit is made for the sounder in de parcelshelf.

Sorry, the wiring diagram I have shows routing to IPK but I presume one speaker is as good as another.

Have been playing with this again today.
Can't seem to find the 12v+ and 12v-
Also can't seem to find the 2 wires for the speaker.

And I obviously still need to track down the black connector with a bit of wire attached to it.

Judging from what I can see and understand, I think (looking at the rear of the board) the top right point (at the black connector) is the earth. Since it's connected to the big part of the board that's connected with so much.
The + connection is often right next to it. So, either next to it or underneath it.

The 2 pins on the bottom left could well be the ones for the speaker. But not sure at all....

In order to help I just dug out my wiring I purchased to fit sensors at a later date. I have checked it against the wiring diagrams and they are the same. Good job too!

The 12V supply comes into the black connector (C0957) on Pin 1 and is supplied as long as the ignition is on via Fuse 2 in the passenger fuse box.

The other 12V supply is only activated once the reverse relay (R217) is energised by selecting the reverse gear. This is supplied onto connector (C0957) on Pin 12

There is no speaker wire as such. The sounder is in the IPK. There is a feed to the IPK (Instrument Pack) supplied via Pin 8 on connector (C0957)

There is no -12V supply. It is a Ground, which is on connector (C0957) pin 6

The last connection on C0957, Pin 4, goes back to the K-Bus.

So in Summary C0957 Pin out is;

Pin 1, Wire Colour, Light Green & Red (LGR), +12V
Pin 4, Wire Colour, White Red & Yellow (WRY), K-Bus
Pin 6, Wire Colour, Black (B), Ground
Pin 8, Wire Colour, Red & Light Green (RLG), Output to IPK (To Activate Sounder)
Pin 12, Wire Colour, Green & Brown (GN), +12V supply (Only when reverse selected)

Hope this helps!

Awesome Daznkel! Really usefull.

Only tiny thing is that the earlier models had the speaker underneath the parcel shelf in the back. My set is one of those sets. So there has to be a set of wires that go from the unit to the speaker. Just not sure which ones that would be.

No problem, glad to help!

The Parking ECU I have is from a 2004 facelift. The part no printed on the unit is YCW107190. How does that compare with your unit? All of the wiring diagrams I have checked for the PDC show the same setup. However, I am aware of the setup with the speaker under the parcel shelf , but I cant locate a circuit diagram.
