Default Previa camper conversion

Started properly fitting out my Previa after several successful trips over the summer. It remains a 5 seater, the kit stays in all year round with camping gear added for each trip.
1 owner, 214000 miles, £1000 on eBay and has since passed the mot very cleanly.
Seriously comfortable daily driver returning 25/30 locally and 35+ on a run. Two pedals, two sunroofs, two sliding doors, E10 friendly and knocks my previous VW T4s into a cocked hat!

more internal pictures please. Is the second picture a bed, how did you get that to fit?

More pics to follow today after the legs for the bed have arrived!
It started as a two seater RNR type sofa bed, decent 30mm box section. I actually bought a used proper RNR frame for a Vito on eBay a week ago, tried it but it wouldn’t marry up anywhere and was not only too tall but also significantly heavier than what I’m now using.
The ottoman latched onto two small pieces of 38mm oak worktop that are in turn bolted into the original lashing eye mounts. The bed head end is mounted on two 2x2” uprights and latched to the ottoman.
The rest of the bed is self supporting. It can clearly not be classed as a seat (which is ideal) and at the end of the fit I’m going to put the old rear seat belt receivers on it just to add a bit more safety by using the D post seatbelts.
It’s all 100% reversible in about an hour.
The middle seats need to come out for camping, either leave at home or put in the awning. The front two seats slide forward and tilt for the necessary clearance.
All in the bed is 1200w x 1900l so a good size and it’s already proven to be very comfortable!

Default Previa camper conversion

It might seem a little bit unimaginative using the ottoman, but it has the advantage of being quite lightweight, massive amount of internal storage for all the cooking gear, food, plates etc but part 2 is to add a clip on worktop to place the Halfords hob on and a washing up bowl.
I’ve owned several factory converted campers and any van will have compromises, so I’m tailoring it to our specific needs. No need for a fridge as we’ve a 2 way cool box that will fit in the middle row seat position when touring.
It’s easy enough to park up and make a brew on a day trip. The whole kit fits below the retractable load cover too.

Dry build completed on the bed, just need to strip down add a lick of paint and fit proper bolts etc, then final adjustment on the legs.
