Both sills fine, o/s replaced last year, n/s looks ok to my untrained eye. FSH, every stamp, full history and receipts. 186k miles, son is in the trade so anything that was needed was done at no expense. He's waiting for the DVLA to send his new V5 with the original reg number as he had a personal plate on it. Wouldn't have minded it myself but I don't like dizzles and I don't use the one I have so have no time for it.

I would have thought that for that price it's worth a go.
What's that, 1 or 2 months payments on a bland box . But I'd be in DEEP trouble if I went after all the motors that were a cracking price and almost too good to miss . |

Ronnie - you really should have known better!
By the time we've all given our feedback, your neighbour will end up in depression and be offering us money for his car. |

Having had a 2004 S and 2009 X type, I will never touch another Jag. The quality is just not there.

I say this as someone who loves his Rovers, that Jags were never intended to compete with Rovers - more like Mercedes and BMW. That is the competition. Perhaps people tend to confuse quality with longevity when old. £1k on bodywork or mechanicals is nothing in real terms if it adds 5 years to a car's useful life. In fact, my recommendation to all Rover 75 owners would be to have the front and rear of the sills cut out and replaced at 18 to 20 years as a preventative measure in order to make the car last. I did this with my Omega at 18 years and the sills are absolutely solid at 22 years of age. Last edited by MSS; 8th September 2021 at 19:42.. |

I have a similar opinion regarding my previous 2005 75 contemporary se, interior build quality was shocking, cheap and flimsy and not put together well at all although alot on here would disagree which is fine. Interior quality on an x type for me though is far superior and especially on a later model ie 2009 these look very nice

Seems like a bargain to me. I love all my Jags. Including an X-type.
If you are in the market, grab it!
