Tourer central seat belt jammed
Suggestions please how to free the central rear seat belt mechanism in the seat back, the belt will not pull out. Or where to unstitch or cut the fabric for access. (Not booked for Tuesday!)

Try folding rear seat then pull it back up and slam it back into upright position that might sort it

However, for future reference I’d still like to know the best way of getting into the seat back. Hopefully someone will have a scrap tourer seat to give that information, unless it’s covered in RAVE which I sort of doubt |

Have had this with other makes of vehicle where the inertia mechanism is in the seat and have had to resort to undoing the anchor bolt . To stop this happening extend the belt and just put a clip on it to stop it retracting tight while the seat is folded flat . You will then find when you lift the seat the belt will retract enough to unlock the inertia mechanism . It will save having to release the anchor bolt to to release the belt

I tried this with a seat that was going to the tip. I stripped and destroyed the seat and still could not get to the mechanism without terminal damage to the seat. I have sprayed dry silicon down into the abyss, to prevent mine from doing it.

I have dealt with a few of these in the past, the belt is not impossible to replace but needs a great deal of time to remove from the seat without causing damage, I have advised that future folding of the seat should take place after retracting the belt some distance and tieing a loose knot into the webbing, this will prevent the problem from returning. However not always so easy to remember doing when in a rush to fold seats down !
