Morning all.

Dry, overcast and pretty warm here . Washing out on the line.

Might have sorted the old bath . Neighbour quite happy for it to go if there's space left in the skip before NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- goes on Wednesday. Fingers crossed .

Anyone any good at throwing balls? Lost one of Quizzie's yesterday trying to throw it off a bridge into the river - it caught a tree branch and disappeared into 5 foot brambles Cue one sad dog. . Well, until more swimming was done

Take care

PS Steve, look after those hands and wrists. You never know what else you might need them for...... And why isn't stuff consistent across the country? We can sort of "roll up" cardboard and leave it by the side of the bin & it'll be taken away.

Morning all - I'm shattered after being kept awake 'til nigh on 2.00am by shenanigans at a neighbours house. Druggie son came home in a taxi, went in the house and presumably didn't pay the driver. Cue loads of shouting, swearing, taxi driver blowing his horn, hammering on the house door and general mayhem. Parents appeared and joined in, but with no offer to pay the taxi fare - so the mayhem continued.
Another neighbour (ex bobby) and his wife (current bobby) came out, as their two kids had been woken by all the noise. Next thing is the arrival of a police van, followed by the culprit being removed in handcuffs (not for the first time!) and normality reigned again.
We've had a number of years with sporadic problems - the son is early 40s, has spent time locked up for arson, untaxed, untested or uninsured cars, visits from strange men carrying baseball bats who proceeded to half demolish one of said cars and on one occasion the guy himself - it's worse than East Enders.

Morning, another "hasn't made its mind up what it wants to do" kinda day. Warm(ish) but cloudy and grey.

The biggest problem is it was all heavy duty, very tough cardboard and very difficult to bend, roll or whatever. The cross trainer itself weighs 130 kilos so that'll give you an idea how substantial the box was. Big as well, neighbour referred to it as a "cardboard coffin"

That's gardening operations, dead heading roses, suspended due to a heavy drizzle.

Think that's gardening operations off for the day. Went from heavy drizzle to battering down for about 90 mins, now its back to heavy drizzle again.

House wasn't built on the site of old Roman baths was it

Gardening never got going again, just starting to get dry spots appearing on the paths now. Not creeping around amongst rose bushes with water dripping off them! Bad enough getting torn to shreds by thorns without getting soaked as well.

LOL More like pit baths, the area is riddled with old mine workings.

When I was a nipper I saw a creepy old B&W. In one scene the hero and heroine were investigating a ruined house, the floor gave way to reveal about a 100' drop to black water . . . . the thought of that still freaks me out
